Fulcrum Lithium has begun its Phase 3 drilling campaign at the Alkali Flats project in Nevada, deploying two reverse circulation rigs, to be followed by a core rig, for a program of more than 30 holes. The work will infill and extend the lithium mineralisation defined in earlier drilling and geophysical surveys, increasing drill density fivefold in the core of the deposit and reducing average hole spacing from around 2,000 metres to 600 metres, while also generating core for metallurgical and geotechnical studies. The company aims to use the expanded geological, geophysical and engineering dataset from this multi-rig program to de-risk the project and underpin a maiden mineral resource estimate, advancing Alkali Flats toward potential development in a strategically important U.S. lithium jurisdiction.
