Frasers Centrepoint Asset Management Ltd., the manager of Frasers Centrepoint Trust, has received 1,332,572 new units in the trust as partial payment of its base management fees for the quarter from 1 January to 31 March 2026. The units, issued at S$2.2099 each based on the 10-day volume weighted average price, cover 43% of the manager’s base fee for the period and the full base fee related to FCT’s 50% effective interest in the NEX mall.
Following this issuance, the manager now holds 119,426,826 units, while the total units in issue have risen to 2,037,824,146, slightly diluting existing unitholders. Paying fees in units rather than entirely in cash helps align the manager’s interests with those of investors and preserves cash for the trust’s operations and investments, including its stake in NEX, a key suburban retail asset in its portfolio.
The arrangement is provided for under FCT’s trust deed and reflects common practice among Singapore REITs to use scrip as part of fee compensation. This structure can support capital management flexibility for the trust, though investors should remain mindful of incremental dilution and ongoing market risks associated with listed REIT units on the Singapore Exchange.
