Downing ONE VCT ( (GB:FVEN) ) has shared an update.
Foresight Ventures VCT reported a modest improvement in performance for the half-year to 30 September 2025, with net asset value per share edging up 0.7% to 90.7p and total portfolio valuation gains of £1.3 million, driven mainly by a recovery in quoted growth holdings and positive revaluations in several unquoted companies. The VCT invested £3.0 million across six unquoted growth companies, exited multiple unquoted and quoted positions for combined proceeds of £3.2 million, and continued to streamline its portfolio away from yield-focused and quoted assets, while managing setbacks such as a write-down of Ecstase Limited and a low-return sale of CAI Software LLC. To support liquidity and growth, the company has active fundraising in place, with a new offer targeting up to £10 million (plus a £5 million overallotment), continues to execute share buybacks at a 2.5% discount to NAV, and is maintaining its income credentials via a 1.8p interim dividend payable in March 2026, following a similar payment in October that brought last year’s dividends to 4.2% of closing net assets. The board highlighted improved liquidity and management efficiencies following its merger with Thames Ventures VCT 2 and reiterated its focus on responsible investing and governance, while also flagging ongoing constraints from the special administration of former custodian IBP Capital Markets, with around 20% of quoted assets still tied up pending court proceedings expected to conclude in 2027.
