An announcement from Flex ( (FLEX) ) is now available.

On March 30, 2026, Flex announced a definitive all-cash agreement to acquire Electrical Power Products, Inc. (EP2), a U.S. specialist in engineered-to-order electrical power control and protection systems, in a transaction valued at about $1.1 billion including anticipated tax benefits. EP2, which generated roughly $323 million in expected revenue for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, brings more than 35 years of experience, an Iowa manufacturing campus, and long-term utility, power generation, and industrial customers.

The deal, expected to close in the first quarter of Flex’s fiscal 2027 subject to customary approvals, will significantly expand Flex’s Critical Power portfolio and deepen its presence in utility and other high-growth, margin-accretive end markets. Management highlighted that the acquisition should be accretive to adjusted earnings in the first full fiscal year post-closing and strengthen Flex’s role in U.S. grid modernization, electrification, data center buildout, and reshoring trends, while providing EP2 with scale and global capabilities to support faster growth.

Spark’s Take on FLEX Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, FLEX is a Outperform.

Score is driven primarily by solid financial fundamentals (improved leverage and strong cash generation) and a constructive earnings update with raised guidance and continued margin progress. These positives are tempered by weaker near-term technicals (trading below key moving averages with subdued momentum) and a valuation that is not especially cheap given thin margins and no stated dividend yield.
