FLEX LNG ( (FLNG) ) just unveiled an update.
Flex LNG Ltd., the Bermuda-based LNG shipping specialist, has secured a new time charter agreement for its 2020-built LNG carrier Flex Aurora with a major energy company, announced on March 25, 2026. The contract has a firm duration of two years with options for three consecutive two-year extensions, potentially keeping the 174,000 cbm vessel employed until 2034 after it was redelivered from a 3.5-year charter in the first half of March 2026.
With this deal, Flex LNG’s minimum contract backlog rises to 55 years and could reach 82 years if all charter options across the fleet are exercised. Management expects the Aurora contract, together with remaining spot-market exposure, to support earnings in the second quarter of 2026, while signalling confidence in a firm LNG freight market despite ongoing volatility that may necessitate revisions to the company’s 2026 full-year guidance.
The most recent analyst rating on (FLNG) stock is a Hold with a $32.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on FLEX LNG stock, see the FLNG Stock Forecast page.
Spark’s Take on FLNG Stock
According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, FLNG is a Neutral.
The score is held back primarily by leveraged financials and a weakening 2025 earnings/cash-flow trend, plus currently soft technical momentum. Offsetting factors include a very high dividend yield and an earnings call that reinforced strong liquidity and backlog, albeit with cautious guidance due to spot-market volatility and potential oversupply.
