Fletcher Building Limited ( (FRCEF) ) has issued an announcement.
Fletcher Building’s subsidiary Higgins Contractors has been selected as preferred contractor by Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency for new 10-year Integrated Delivery Contracts covering state highway maintenance in East Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Hawke’s Bay, starting from April 2026. While Higgins will no longer service Manawatu under the revamped delivery model, the significantly expanded Bay of Plenty contract means the overall revenue from the new arrangements is expected to be broadly in line with the previous model at around NZ$1.3 billion over the term, securing a long-term workload pipeline and reinforcing Higgins’ relationship and standing with NZTA in New Zealand’s road maintenance market.
