Norseman Capital ( (TSE:FTZ) ) has issued an update.
Fitzroy Minerals has commenced a 750 line-kilometre heliborne MobileMT geophysical survey over its Caballos Copper Project in Chile’s Valparaiso region, with results expected in March 2026. The work, carried out by Expert Geophysics Surveys, aims to provide a three-dimensional view of subsurface structures from surface to depths of up to two kilometres.
By combining MobileMT with complementary VLF-EM data, the company plans to refine its understanding of deep-seated faults, lithological contacts and structures controlling mineral systems, including beneath younger volcanic cover. Management believes the survey will help trace previously drilled mineralized breccias and potentially pinpoint porphyry-style intrusive centres, informing future exploration targeting at Caballos and strengthening Fitzroy’s copper exploration strategy in the Americas.
