First Phosphate Corp. ( (TSE:PHOS) ) has shared an update.
First Phosphate Corp. welcomed the Canadian federal government’s decision to add phosphate to the country’s list of critical minerals, a move that unlocks access to key tax incentives for its Quebec-based projects. The company has already produced commercial-grade LFP 18650 battery cells using high-purity phosphoric acid derived from its Bégin-Lamarche property, underscoring its strategy to support a North American LFP battery supply chain.
The new status means First Phosphate can benefit from the Critical Mineral Exploration Tax Credit to help finance expanded exploration and development in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean. It also positions the company to use the Clean Technology Manufacturing Investment Tax Credit to support infrastructure build-out for mining operations and future downstream facilities, including a planned phosphoric acid plant and LFP cathode active material plant, strengthening its role in the clean-technology battery materials space.
The most recent analyst rating on (TSE:PHOS) stock is a Buy with a C$1.59 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on First Phosphate Corp. stock, see the TSE:PHOS Stock Forecast page.
