First Phosphate Corp Hails Phosphorus Listing as Critical Mineral

First Phosphate Corp. (TSE:PHOS) has released an update.

First Phosphate Corp. celebrates the inclusion of phosphorous on the Canadian Critical Minerals List, recognizing its importance for the nation’s economic and national security as well as its role in the transition to a sustainable, low-carbon economy. This milestone aligns with the company’s efforts to develop Quebec’s phosphate resources and its vision to establish a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery production hub in the Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean region. The company’s focus is on high purity phosphate production for LFP batteries, anticipating increased demand as North American phosphate production is forecasted to decrease significantly by 2037.
