First Phosphate Corp. ( (TSE:PHOS) ) has shared an announcement.

First Phosphate Corp. has completed its infill drilling program at the Bégin-Lamarche property in Quebec, confirming extensive, continuous phosphate mineralization within the existing resource horizon and discovering two new intersects in the Northern and Southern zones. An additional 10,000 meters of drilling, bringing the total to about 40,000 meters, was added to better understand these new zones and deeper mineralization, and the company is now processing results to upgrade the geological model, which could enhance the scale and confidence of the project’s resource base.

The company highlighted the rapid advancement of Bégin-Lamarche from initial discovery to a significant geological model in roughly 3.5 years, underscoring the continuity of the deposit and efficiency of its exploration strategy. First Phosphate also announced the retirement of long-serving Chief Geologist Gilles Laverdiere and the appointment of existing team member Steeve Lavoie, a veteran exploration geologist, as his successor, alongside a grant of stock options to Lavoie, signaling continuity in technical leadership as the project moves into its next phase.

These developments reinforce First Phosphate’s efforts to firm up a high-purity, domestic phosphate resource that can underpin its ambitions in the North American LFP battery supply chain. For stakeholders, the upgraded geological model and stable succession in the geology team are key to de-risking the project and potentially improving its attractiveness to strategic partners in energy storage and advanced manufacturing.

The most recent analyst rating on (TSE:PHOS) stock is a Buy with a C$1.59 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on First Phosphate Corp. stock, see the TSE:PHOS Stock Forecast page.
