First Mining Gold Cuts Pickle Crow Stake as Bellavista Closes JV Deal

First Mining Gold ( (TSE:FF) ) just unveiled an announcement.

On April 29, 2026, First Mining Gold reported that new joint-venture partner Bellavista Resources completed the acquisition of FireFly Metals’ interest in PC Gold Inc., which holds the Pickle Crow Gold Project. Bellavista also paid C$3 million to exercise its buy-down right, reducing First Mining’s stake in PC Gold from 30% to 20%, while leaving First Mining free carried to a decision to mine at Pickle Crow.

The update brings in a partner led by executives with a track record at De Grey Mining, which was sold for US$3.3 billion in May 2025, potentially strengthening the development outlook for Pickle Crow. For First Mining, the transaction crystallizes cash, maintains exposure to the project’s upside without near-term funding obligations, and allows continued focus on de-risking its flagship Springpole and Duparquet projects in Canada.

The most recent analyst rating on (TSE:FF) stock is a Buy with a C$1.10 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on First Mining Gold stock, see the TSE:FF Stock Forecast page.

Spark’s Take on FF Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, FF is a Neutral.

The score is primarily held back by weak financial performance—no revenue, expanding losses, and worsening negative free cash flow—despite the offsetting benefit of very low leverage. Technical signals are weak-to-neutral (below key moving averages with negative MACD), while valuation provides limited support due to a negative P/E and no dividend yield data.
