ArcPacific Resources Corp ( (TSE:FAN) ) just unveiled an update.
First Atlantic Nickel Corp. has begun drilling at its new Alloy Max Zone, a large-scale awaruite nickel-cobalt alloy discovery located 7 km north of the RPM Zone within the Pipestone XL Nickel-Cobalt Alloy Project in central Newfoundland. The initial program comprises four drill holes across 2.4 km of strike and 950 m of width, following surface work that confirmed visible awaruite mineralization in bedrock and suggests Alloy Max could host a larger mineralized footprint than the existing RPM Zone.
The company has completed an access trail to Alloy Max and is starting construction of a drill access road extending north through Super Gulp toward Atlantic Lake, which will ultimately link the entire 30 km nickel trend to Grand Falls-Windsor and the Trans-Canada Highway. As road building progresses, First Atlantic plans systematic bedrock sampling via trenches and shallow pits along the corridor to test newly identified and historical DTR nickel anomalies, potentially unlocking additional nickel-cobalt alloy zones and materially enhancing the project’s exploration scalability and logistics.
