An announcement from Mantaro Precious Metals ( (TSE:FAS) ) is now available.
First Andes Silver has reported Phase 1 soil assay results from the northern half of its Santas Gloria silver project in Peru, identifying six coherent silver-in-soil anomalies aligned with mapped intermediate-sulphidation vein corridors at Paquita, Maribel, Rosario, Eulalia and Kelly. The anomalies collectively span about 4.3 kilometers of strike, with silver values commonly in the 5–20 ppm range, a peak of 68.1 ppm and the largest and most intense anomaly at Kelly remaining open to the east.
The company plans to integrate these assay results with WorldView-3 spectral alteration data, detailed structural mapping and future ground geophysics to refine and rank drill targets across the project. A Phase 2 soil program, covering the southern half of Santas Gloria with 1,430 planned samples and including a large zoned alteration cell already mapped by short-wavelength infrared mineral data, is set to begin in March, marking a step toward district-scale target definition and potential advancement to drilling.
