Mantaro Precious Metals ( (TSE:FAS) ) just unveiled an announcement.

First Andes Silver Ltd. has appointed Ryan Johnson as Vice President, Corporate Communications on a month-to-month basis, tasking him with overseeing corporate communications, marketing strategy, news flow, events, and media and digital outreach. The engagement, which is subject to TSX Venture Exchange approval and structured at C$7,000 per month plus taxes, brings in a seasoned capital markets professional with nearly two decades of experience in investor relations and disclosure-compliant communications.

In a parallel move to bolster management and align incentives, the company granted 2.5 million stock options exercisable at $0.17 for five years and 875,000 restricted share units to directors, officers and consultants, vesting over up to two years. The compensation package underscores First Andes Silver’s effort to strengthen its leadership and advisory bench as it advances exploration at its Santas Gloria silver project in Peru, where recent drilling has confirmed extensive near-surface mineralization across multiple vein systems.

More about Mantaro Precious Metals

First Andes Silver Ltd. is a British Columbia-based mining exploration company focused on its 100%-owned high-grade Santas Gloria silver property, located 55 km east of Lima in a major Peruvian mining district. The project, situated within a well-known intermediate-sulphidation epithermal belt, hosts over 12 km of multiphase veins and has shown strong near-surface silver intercepts in most drill holes from its 2024–2025 diamond drilling campaigns.

These results confirm silver mineralization across multiple vein systems and support ongoing systematic, project-wide exploration and follow-up drilling planned for 2026, positioning First Andes as an emerging player in the silver exploration space in Peru. With established road access and recent application of modern exploration techniques, the company is advancing a previously under-explored asset in a prolific mining region.
