FireFox Gold Corp. has strengthened its board by appointing veteran mining-sector finance executive Martin Rip, CPA, CA, as a director and chair of its audit committee. Rip brings more than 25 years of experience in financial reporting, corporate governance, internal controls and transactions for public mining companies, including senior roles with numerous Lumina group entities.

Management says his capital-markets and deal-making background, built around discovery and transactional success, is expected to bolster FireFox’s governance and financial discipline as it advances its Finnish gold portfolio. In connection with team additions, the company also granted 300,000 stock options at an exercise price of $0.85 to consultants, directors and employees, aligning incentives with long-term shareholder value as FireFox progresses its exploration strategy.
