The latest announcement is out from Firebird Metals Ltd. ( (AU:FRB) ).
Firebird Metals reported a pivotal March quarter, highlighted by formal registration in China of an exclusive global licence (excluding China) over five key LMFP patents running to 2045, strengthening its intellectual property position in advanced cathode materials. The company also commissioned proprietary LMR cathode active material equipment at its China pilot plant, began initial LMR CAM production, and advanced planning for its Australian Demonstration Plant, which aims to be a world-first integrated facility producing HPMSM, LMFP, p-CAM and CAM outside China.
Management noted rising interest from investors and strategic partners as the Australian Demonstration Plant progresses toward planned 2026 commissioning, positioning Firebird as one of the few players with an IP-protected, end-to-end pathway in manganese-rich battery materials. Post quarter-end, Firebird secured a A$2 million grant from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency under the Battery Breakthrough Initiative, bolstering funding for its development pipeline, while ending March with A$4.37 million in cash to support ongoing project execution.
