Ferrexpo, a leading iron ore pellet producer, announced results from its Life Cycle Assessment which showed that its Direct Reduction (DR) pellets could cut carbon emissions by 37% when used in Direct Reduced Iron – Electric Arc Furnace (DRI-EAF) steelmaking, versus traditional coal-based methods. The assessment, done with Ricardo Plc, highlights Ferrexpo’s commitment to environmental sustainability and positions the company as a key player in the steel industry’s transition to greener production practices.
