The latest announcement is out from Fat Prophets Global Contrarian Fund Ltd. ( (AU:FPC) ).
Fat Prophets Global Contrarian Fund Limited, an ASX-listed contrarian investment fund, offers investors exposure to actively managed global equity opportunities that seek to exploit market mispricing. The vehicle targets shareholders in Australia and New Zealand who prefer a listed structure and access to the manager’s high-conviction, research-led strategy.
The company has launched a non-renounceable pro-rata rights issue, offering one new share for every five held at the lower of $1.50 or the five-day volume-weighted average price, with an attached option exercisable at $1.80 by June 2027. If fully subscribed, the capital raising will total about $8.45 million before costs, is partly underwritten by Nightingale Partners, and is supported by full take-up commitments from the chief investment officer and other directors, signalling confidence in the fund and providing existing investors a cost-effective way to increase holdings at a modest premium to recent trading prices.
Eligible shareholders with registered addresses in Australia and New Zealand as at the 30 April 2026 record date may participate in the offer, which closes on 2 June 2026. The detailed timetable includes the dispatch of offer documents on 5 May, deferred-settlement trading of new shares from 3 June, and normal T+2 trading from 9 June, laying out a clear schedule for capital deployment and liquidity for participants.
