Expand Energy Corporation reported its first-quarter 2026 results on April 28, 2026, highlighting strong cash generation with $2.4 billion in net cash from operations, net income of $1.16 billion and adjusted EBITDAX of $1.97 billion. Operationally, Expand Energy ran an average of 13 rigs in the quarter, drilling 60 wells and bringing 49 online, and plans to invest about $2.85 billion in 2026 while running 11 to 12 rigs to deliver roughly 7.5 Bcfe per day. Spark’s Take on EXE Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, EXE is a Neutral.

The score is driven primarily by improved financial positioning in 2025 (profitability, stronger cash generation, and a much stronger balance sheet) and supportive valuation (moderate P/E with a solid dividend). This is tempered by weak technical positioning versus key moving averages and execution/transition risks highlighted on the earnings call (commercial progress, leadership change, and the 2029 bond priority).
