The latest update is out from EV Nickel, Inc. ( (TSE:EVNI) ).

EV Nickel reported a high-grade nickel intercept from its Langmuir South Nickel Project near Timmins, Ontario, with drill hole EV26-L05 returning 9.80 metres grading 1.20% nickel, including intervals of 2.03% and 1.49% nickel. The mineralization occurs at less than 300 metres vertical depth, with strong nickel tenors of 25% to 47% in 100% sulphide, underscoring the potential of the Langmuir South Zone.

Management said the result confirms Langmuir South as an excellent target for significant high-grade nickel sulphides and complements work at the adjacent historic Langmuir #2 Mine area. With legacy underground infrastructure largely within EV Nickel’s property and a four-hole drill program testing both Langmuir South and extensions below Langmuir #2, the company sees strong potential for near-term resource growth and faster project advancement.

The historic Langmuir #2 Mine previously reported substantial nickel reserves before its 1978 shutdown, though these are not classified as current resources or reserves. Assay results from the remaining three holes of the current 1,772-metre diamond drill program are pending, and successful outcomes could further strengthen EV Nickel’s resource base and its positioning in the high-grade nickel segment of the battery metals sector.

Spark’s Take on EVNI Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, EVNI is a Neutral.

The score is primarily weighed down by weak financial performance driven by a pre-revenue model, ongoing net losses, and significant cash burn. Technical indicators add a mildly negative bias with soft momentum signals. Valuation does not provide support due to a negative P/E and no dividend yield.
