Malaysia’s Employees Provident Fund Board (EPF), a substantial shareholder in IHH Healthcare Berhad, has increased its direct stake in the hospital operator through additional market acquisitions. On 4 May 2026, EPF bought a combined 2.47 million IHH shares via Citigroup Nominees (Tempatan) Sdn Bhd accounts.
Following these purchases, EPF now holds 1,188,865,200 IHH ordinary shares, representing 13.455% of the company’s issued share capital. The enlarged position reinforces EPF’s role as a core institutional investor in IHH, signalling continued confidence in the healthcare group’s long-term prospects and governance.
