An update from Entergy ( (ETR) ) is now available.

On February 20, 2026, Entergy expanded its at-the-market equity distribution program by adding Barclays Capital Inc. as an agent and forward seller and Barclays Bank PLC as a forward purchaser under an amended Sales Agreement covering its common stock. After prior issuances, Entergy still has about $1.66 billion of common stock capacity remaining under the program, with no obligation to sell and the ability to suspend offerings at any time.

Entergy has previously disclosed that it expects to issue roughly $4.4 billion of equity through 2029, part of which may be raised under this program or via other transactions. About $1.9 billion of that planned equity has already been contracted through forward sale agreements, including $346 million that settled in February 2026, underscoring the company’s continued reliance on equity markets to fund its longer-term needs and capital plans.

The most recent analyst rating on (ETR) stock is a Hold with a $98.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Entergy stock, see the ETR Stock Forecast page.

Spark’s Take on ETR Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, ETR is a Neutral.

The score is driven by constructive earnings-call fundamentals (multi-year >8% EPS growth target supported by industrial/data-center demand and a large capital plan) and strong technical uptrend signals. Offsetting these positives are weaker financial quality factors—persistently negative free cash flow and high leverage—and a valuation that looks relatively rich for a regulated utility, with momentum indicators also suggesting the stock is near-term overbought.
