ENGIE Expands Biomethane Production in Europe

Engie SA (FR:ENGI) has released an update.

ENGIE expands its biomethane footprint in Europe with the acquisition of its first production unit in Belgium, enhancing its strategy to produce 10 TWh of biomethane annually across the continent. This strategic purchase aligns with ENGIE’s commitment to renewable gases and strengthens its position in the European energy transition. The newly acquired plant in Belgium will contribute significantly to ENGIE’s renewable energy goals, supplying energy equivalent to the annual consumption of 6,000 households.
