Greenland Minerals Limited ( (AU:ETM) ) has issued an update.
Energy Transition Minerals Ltd has disclosed that Greenlandic authorities have signalled uncertainty over the extension of its exploration licence for the Kvanefjeld rare earths project, which formally lapsed on 31 December 2025. The company had filed a timely extension request and says authorities had previously indicated that renewals could be expected while ongoing arbitration over an exploitation licence continues.
The sudden shift, conveyed in late March without reasons or a clear timeline, has prompted ETM to seek urgent clarification via its legal advisers and government counterparts. With its 2026 exploration programme now potentially unviable, ETM is in talks with contractors to mitigate operational impacts, while maintaining its legal strategy and asserting that any refusal to extend the licence would further support its arbitration case over exploitation rights at Kvanefjeld.
ETM emphasised its commitment to Greenland and the Kvanefjeld project, highlighting planned local employment that is now in doubt due to licence uncertainty. The company intends to take all necessary steps to preserve its rights and says it will continue to inform investors as the situation develops, underscoring regulatory risk around strategic rare earths projects in Greenland.
The most recent analyst rating on (AU:ETM) stock is a Sell with a A$0.09 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Greenland Minerals Limited stock, see the AU:ETM Stock Forecast page.
