Energy Plug Technologies Corp. has struck an innovative deal with Ximen Mining Corp. to install a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at the Kenville Gold Mine, marking its first major battery contract. The collaboration is part of a broader clean energy initiative that includes a 20kWh solar-connected battery to mitigate power outages and reduce diesel use, supporting Ximen’s net-zero targets. With the anticipated completion of phase one in summer 2024 and the launch of a 100kWh BESS in the fourth quarter, Energy Plug aims to enhance energy efficiency and contribute to sustainable mining operations.
