An update from Emu NL ( (AU:EMU) ) is now available.
Emu NL reported a major step forward at its Georgetown Project during the March 2026 quarter, completing Stage 1 reverse circulation and diamond drilling at the Fiery Creek prospect. The work marked the first systematic drill test of key geochemical and geophysical targets and has materially refined the geological model for the area.
Drilling intersected a roughly 50 metre wide corridor of copper–silver mineralisation hosted in a steeply dipping structural zone closely associated with intrusive phases such as aplite bodies. This has led Emu to reinterpret Fiery Creek as part of a hybrid structural–intrusive, large-scale intrusive-related mineral system rather than a simple vein target.
Assay results included multiple mineralised zones such as 13 metres at 0.49% copper and 9.7 g/t silver, 3 metres at 0.60% copper and 13.3 g/t silver, and shorter high-grade intervals above 1% copper, consistent with expectations for an early-stage system. Mineralisation remains open along strike and at depth, providing clear structural and intrusive vectors toward potentially higher-grade zones.
Management said the confirmation of a coherent, scalable mineral system significantly reduces exploration risk and gives a robust framework for further work. Emu now plans a more targeted next phase of drilling, shifting focus to the broader Yataga Valley area, where it sees scope for a larger and more valuable copper–silver outcome for the project and its stakeholders.
