The latest announcement is out from Emcore Corp (EMKR).
EMCORE Corporation has appointed Matthew Vargas as the interim Principal Executive Officer effective May 14, 2024, in addition to his current roles as interim CEO and VP of Sales. At 38 years old, Vargas has been acting as the interim CEO since May and VP of Sales since the previous December. He will not receive extra compensation for taking on the additional duties and there are no changes to his employment agreement. Moreover, Vargas does not have any familial ties to the company’s directors or executive officers, nor does he have any significant financial interests that need disclosure.
