Elliptic Laboratories AS ( (DE:EIP) ) has issued an update.
Elliptic Labs has corrected an earlier disclosure on 2026 smartphone activity, stating that year-to-date launches now total 29 devices rather than 22, while confirming that all other previously reported figures remain unchanged. The company’s sensor platform has been deployed in over 500 million devices worldwide, supported by operations across the U.S., China, South Korea, Taiwan, and Japan, and all technology is developed and owned in Norway.
The company also reported that 14 new device models incorporating its software-only sensing technology were launched in April 2026, comprising seven smartphones and seven laptops or PCs and lifting 2026 totals to 24 laptops and 29 smartphones versus 23 and 20, respectively, a year earlier. These launches expand Elliptic Labs’ presence across major chipsets from Intel, Qualcomm, and MediaTek, position it as a day-one partner for Intel’s new Core Series 3 through Lenovo’s IdeaPad line, and reinforce its royalty-driven, low-incremental-cost business model as OEM adoption broadens from mass-market to flagship tiers.
