Elliptic Labs announced that it shipped its AI Virtual Smart Sensor Platform on seven additional smartphone models in December 2025, including five new devices from Vivo and two from HONOR, bringing its total deployments to 65 smartphone models for the year. The company’s core AI Virtual Proximity Sensor product replaces conventional hardware proximity sensors with a software-only solution that turns off smartphone displays during calls to prevent accidental touches and save battery, helping handset makers cut component costs and reduce sourcing risks while expanding Elliptic Labs’ footprint in the competitive smartphone supply chain.
