Elliptic Labs has expanded deployment of its AI Virtual Smart Sensor Platform by shipping it on five new smartphone models launched in February 2026 by Xiaomi and Transsion, including popular Redmi and TECNO POVA series devices. This rollout underscores growing OEM adoption of the company’s software-only AI Virtual Proximity Sensor, which replaces dedicated hardware components to cut device costs, reduce sourcing risk, and improve power efficiency.

By embedding its INNER BEAUTY AI Virtual Proximity Sensor, Elliptic Labs enables core proximity functions such as turning off displays and disabling touch input during calls, helping conserve battery life and prevent accidental screen actions. The latest design wins strengthen Elliptic Labs’ position in the competitive smartphone supply chain, reinforcing its strategy of driving software-defined sensing at scale across successive device generations and models.
