Elementis ( (GB:ELM) ) has shared an update.
Elementis reported a solid first quarter, with organic group revenue up about 2% and strong year-on-year gains in adjusted operating profit and margins, helped by self-help measures and pricing actions. Personal Care saw marginal organic growth as higher prices and product mix offset softer demand in the Americas, while coatings delivered good organic revenue growth on the back of stronger Asian volumes that outweighed weakness in the Americas.
The Energy business continued to perform well, boosted by operational improvements at the St. Louis plant, and overall margins increased materially thanks to cost savings and better volumes, with cash generation in line with expectations. The company said the Middle East conflict had no material impact due to limited direct exposure, confirmed that the planned sale of its pharma manufacturing unit to Associated British Foods is progressing with completion expected in the second quarter, and reiterated that full-year 2026 expectations remain unchanged despite macroeconomic and geopolitical uncertainty.
The most recent analyst rating on (GB:ELM) stock is a Buy with a £200.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Elementis stock, see the GB:ELM Stock Forecast page.
Spark’s Take on ELM Stock
According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, ELM is a Neutral.
The score is mainly supported by improving financial resilience (much lower debt and continued positive free cash flow) and a constructive earnings-call outlook with margin/EPS progress and clear medium-term targets. These positives are tempered by weak technical momentum (below major moving averages with negative MACD) and valuation risk tied to ongoing net losses (negative P/E), alongside recent revenue softness.
