Element 25 is advancing an expansion and restart of its Butcherbird Manganese Mine in Western Australia, aiming to lift manganese concentrate output to 1.1 million tonnes per year based on an 18-plus-year ore reserve. The increased production is intended to serve established steel customers while also providing long-term feedstock for a proposed high-purity manganese sulphate facility in Louisiana, positioning the company across both conventional and battery-material markets.
During the March quarter, Element 25 progressed key engineering, procurement and stakeholder engagement milestones for the Butcherbird Expansion Project, including shipment of the first major plant item and shortlisting of construction and services contractors. On the corporate front, the company strengthened its funding position by extending a standby equity facility of up to A$30 million and completing an A$18 million equity raise to support the expansion and working capital needs.
