In its review, the committee highlighted inconsistencies in Elegance Optical’s business model disclosures, questioned the viability of its profit forecasts, and noted that a key shareholder loan was not on normal commercial terms, underscoring concerns over the company’s financial health. As a result, the regulator concluded that, as of the February hearing, Elegance Optical had not demonstrated sufficient operational substance or asset value, prompting the continuation of the trading suspension and signalling heightened risk and uncertainty for shareholders and potential investors.
