Electra Battery Materials Corporation’s CEO, Trent Mell, is set to participate in the OECD Conference on Mining Regions and Cities to discuss sustainable development and circular economy in the mining sector. The company has recently announced a joint venture, Aki Battery Recycling, to strengthen North America’s battery materials supply chain by processing lithium-ion battery waste at a new facility in Ontario. Electra is also focusing on expanding its cobalt refinery and developing additional refining processes for critical minerals in North America.
