In its first-quarter 2025 earnings report, Edison International announced a significant turnaround with a net income of $1,436 million, or $3.73 per share, compared to a net loss in the same period last year. The company also reported core earnings of $528 million, or $1.37 per share, marking a notable improvement from the previous year’s figures.

The increase in Southern California Edison’s core earnings per share was primarily attributed to benefits from interest expense related to cost recoveries under the TKM Settlement Agreement.
Despite a rise in core loss per share for Edison International Parent and Other due to higher interest expenses, the company remains optimistic about its strategic initiatives. CEO Pedro J. Pizarro emphasized ongoing efforts to engage with stakeholders to enhance community safety and support California’s economic development, particularly in rebuilding wildfire-impacted areas.
