On August 9, 2025, Mark R. Fetting, the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees for Eaton Vance Municipal Income Trust, passed away unexpectedly. Following this event, Susan J. Sutherland has taken over as the acting Chairperson, and the Board has decided to reduce its size from ten to nine members, effective August 12, 2025.
