Eastern Platinum has commenced the commissioning of its new platinum group metals processing facility at the Crocodile River Mine in South Africa, signaling a significant step in its mining operations. The plant has already processed 22,000 tons of run-of-mine ore, delivering a concentrate with approximately 1,300 ounces of platinum metals to Impala Platinum. With the facility’s ramp-up, monthly production is expected to reach 40,000 tons by the end of 2024.
