DS Smith Plc has announced a recommended all-share merger with International Paper, with the arrangement to be effected through a court-sanctioned scheme of arrangement. Shareholders of DS Smith are being sent the Scheme Document detailing the merger terms, conditions, and voting instructions for the upcoming meetings on 7 October 2024. The merger, advised by major financial firms and unanimously endorsed by both companies’ directors, is expected to be finalized in the fourth quarter of 2024, subject to shareholder and court approval.
