Donkin Coal Mine Cleared for Reopening

Morien Resources (TSE:MOX) has released an update.

Morien Resources Corp. has announced that the Nova Scotia Department of Labour, Skills and Immigration has approved the reopening of the Donkin Coal Mine, lifting a previous Compliance Order and allowing year-round operation. Previously idled due to a roof fall incident and subsequent Stop Work Order, Morien, which has a royalty interest in the mine, anticipates any resumption of production will also depend on improving regulatory processes for stable operations. The company remains focused on advocating for the mine’s production restart and will keep shareholders informed of developments.
