Dixie Gold Inc., a mining company with claims in Ontario’s Red Lake region, has been asked by the Asubpeeschoseewagong Anishinabek First Nation to halt its mining activities due to a third-party litigation notice. The company asserts that its mining claims are legally valid and issued by the Government of Ontario. However, multiple mining companies in the area have received similar correspondence from the First Nation.
