DIA Group Finalizes Exit from Brazilian Market

DISTRIBUIDORA INTERNACIONAL DE ALIMENTACION (ES:DIA) has released an update.

Distribuidora Internacional de Alimentación, S.A. (DIA) has announced the completion of the sale of DIA Brasil to Lyra II Fundo, following the fulfillment of a key condition related to obtaining authorization from the financial entities of DIA’s syndicated financing. The transaction leads to a 75 million euro cash outflow and a 101 million euro negative impact on DIA’s consolidated income statement. DIA’s strategic exit from the Brazilian market aims to concentrate efforts on its more profitable markets in Spain and Argentina.
