InterGlobe Aviation Ltd ( (IN:INDIGO) ) just unveiled an update.

India’s largest airline operator, InterGlobe Aviation’s IndiGo, has disclosed that the Directorate General of Civil Aviation has issued eight orders against the carrier following an inquiry into severe operational disruptions between 3 and 5 December 2025. The regulator has imposed financial penalties totaling INR 22.20 crore for non-compliance with Civil Aviation Requirements and extended violations of revised flight and duty time limitations, and directed the airline to furnish a INR 50 crore bank guarantee tied to a DGCA-monitored systemic reform scheme. In addition to monetary sanctions, the DGCA has cautioned the CEO and issued warnings to several senior operational executives, including the COO and the head of the Operations Control Centre, with instructions that the latter be relieved of current operational responsibilities and not hold any accountable post. While the DGCA noted that IndiGo restored normal operations quickly after the disruptions and has not signaled any further material impact on its business activities, the enforcement actions underscore heightened regulatory scrutiny of the airline’s operational oversight and compliance systems as the company reviews the orders and prepares its response.
