An announcement from Desert Metals Ltd. ( (AU:DM1) ) is now available.
Desert Metals Ltd has reported that regional stream sediment sampling across its Adzope gold project in Côte d’Ivoire has defined a coherent gold-in-stream anomaly extending roughly 5km, located about 7km southwest of its high-grade King Kong prospect. The survey, comprising 241 samples over the 229km² permit, returned 116 samples at or above the 1ppb detection limit, indicating a moderate-to-strong regional gold signature for a West African Birimian terrain.
The company’s highest priority, Target 1, is a central anomaly measuring about 5km by 1.5km, containing 10 samples at or above 10ppb gold with a peak of 44ppb, and is aligned with a fault-bounded magnetic high on a NNE–SSW structural trend. A smaller Target 2 anomaly, roughly 2.5km by 1.5km with a peak of 33ppb, lies in the same structural corridor, and Desert Metals plans to commence an approximately 350-sample, first-pass soil program over Target 1 immediately to refine drill targets and build a pipeline of prospects beyond King Kong.
