Desert Metals has significantly extended the Tiogo gold corridor at its Tengrela South project in northern Côte d’Ivoire, with aircore drilling confirming semi-continuous gold mineralisation over a strike length of more than 1.5km. The latest campaign, comprising 40 aircore holes for 2,032m, delivered standout results including 4m at 19.48g/t gold and multiple high-grade quartz vein-hosted intercepts across all drilled lines.
The company reports that several holes ended in mineralisation near total depth and that the gold system remains open along strike and at depth into untested fresh bedrock. On the back of these results, Desert Metals plans reverse circulation and diamond drilling to 150m–250m to probe the bedrock expression of the Tiogo system, while soil sampling in previously untested areas is underway to refine further targets.
