On December 18, 2025, DarkPulse, Inc. announced it had entered into a comprehensive patent and trademark license agreement with UMBRA Technologies that gives DarkPulse a nonexclusive, royalty-bearing license to UMBRA’s extensive U.S. patent portfolio for monitoring critical infrastructure using DarkPulse’s Brillouin Optical Time Domain Analysis distributed fiber-optic sensors. The deal, which also covers certain U.S.-limited broader patent rights, know-how, and trademarks and allows for potential future exclusivity carve-outs tied to additional royalties, enables DarkPulse to integrate UMBRA’s AI-enhanced, secure high-throughput networking platform—including its Slingshot and Global Virtual Network technologies—into DarkPulse’s sensing systems, creating an end-to-end, encrypted, ultra-low-latency solution for transmitting massive real-time data streams from pipelines, railways, borders, bridges, dams, and smart-city assets. By replacing costly dedicated private circuits with a software-defined, military-grade secure networking layer optimized for DarkPulse’s high-volume sensor data, the agreement strengthens DarkPulse’s value proposition for critical infrastructure operators and could enhance its competitive positioning in the infrastructure monitoring and security market.
