An update from Cue Energy Resources Limited ( (AU:CUE) ) is now available.
Cue Energy Resources has reported that its joint venture partners in the Mereenie and Palm Valley gas fields have reached an agreement with the Northern Territory’s Power and Water Corporation to extend the deadline for executing binding gas sales agreements. The deadline, originally set for 1 April 2026, has now been pushed back to 10 April 2026, giving the parties additional time to finalise commercial terms that are important for securing future gas offtake and revenue streams from these onshore Australian assets.
The short extension, agreed at a late stage in the negotiations, suggests that the parties are close to concluding the agreements but require further time to complete documentation and approvals. For Cue, which relies on production from the Mereenie and Palm Valley fields as part of its diversified regional portfolio, completion of these gas sales contracts would underpin near-term cash flow stability and reinforce its position as a key supplier to the Northern Territory energy market.
The most recent analyst rating on (AU:CUE) stock is a Hold with a A$0.16 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Cue Energy Resources Limited stock, see the AU:CUE Stock Forecast page.
