Crimson Wine Group ( (CWGL) ) has issued an announcement.

On February 9, 2026, Crimson Wine Group’s subsidiary Pine Ridge Winery, LLC acquired the Raeburn wine brand and related assets from Purple Wine Company, LLC for approximately $35.2 million, funded with cash on hand and borrowings under its revolving credit facility. The deal includes inventory, intellectual property such as trademarks and trade names, and customer lists, with Crimson assuming certain related liabilities and confirming it previously had no material relationship with the seller.

Raeburn, founded in 2013 in Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley and producing about 250,000 cases annually, is a premium brand distributed through major U.S. grocery chains, independent retailers and restaurants. The acquisition immediately adds significant scale to Crimson’s existing production of over 400,000 cases a year and strengthens its position in the ultra-premium Chardonnay and Pinot Noir segments, expanding its presence at $15–$25 price points and deepening relevance with retail and on-premise customers, while enabling Purple Brands to refocus on its growing spirits portfolio led by Redwood Empire Whiskey.
