Cricut Inc ( (CRCT) ) has provided an update.
Cricut Inc., the creative technology company behind a connected platform of smart cutting machines, design software and crafting materials, reported first-quarter 2026 results that underscore a shift toward higher-margin platform revenues despite modest top-line pressure. The South Jordan, Utah-based group continues to build its global base of nearly 6 million active users and just over 3 million paid subscribers, positioning its subscription-driven ecosystem at the center of future growth.
For the quarter ended March 31, 2026, Cricut posted revenue of $159.5 million, down 2% year over year, and net income of $20.3 million, a 15% decline, as gross margin compressed to 58.1% and operating income fell 22%. Platform revenue rose nearly 6% to $84.8 million and now benefits from higher ARPU of $55.65, while products revenue slipped 9.6%, highlighting a mix shift away from hardware and materials.
International sales grew more than 16% and increased to 26% of total revenue, reflecting the company’s deepening penetration outside its home market even as 90-day engaged users dipped 1%. Management pointed to guided onboarding, bundles and new flows in its Design Space software as factors behind a 1% rise in active users and 3% growth in paid subscribers to about 3.08 million.
Cricut generated $27 million in operating cash flow in the quarter and ended March with roughly $256 million in cash and no debt, supporting a shareholder-return strategy that blends dividends with buybacks. The board approved a recurring semi-annual dividend of $0.10 per share payable in July 2026, and the company repurchased 2.77 million shares for $12.2 million in the period, leaving $29.1 million on its $50 million authorization, signaling confidence in its cash-generative model and long-term platform-first strategy.

Spark’s Take on CRCT Stock
According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, CRCT is a Neutral.
The score is driven primarily by solid underlying financial quality (strong margins, low leverage, and positive cash flow) and supportive valuation (moderate P/E and very high dividend yield). These positives are tempered by weak technical momentum and ongoing business headwinds highlighted on the earnings call, especially multi-year revenue contraction and continued pressure in products/accessories with near-term uncertainty.
