Credicorp ( (BAP) ) has issued an update.
In the first quarter of 2026, Credicorp posted record net income of S/2,063 million, a 16.1% year-on-year increase that lifted return on equity to 21.1%, driven by broad-based strength across banking, microfinance and digital businesses. Loan volumes rose 8.2% year-on-year and deposits climbed 13.3%, while net interest income grew 10.9% and margins remained robust, reflecting lower funding costs and solid demand in Peru’s improving macro environment.
Asset quality improved, with the non-performing loan ratio falling to 4.3% and cost of risk down to 1.3%, as provisions declined on better payment behavior in retail portfolios and reversals in wholesale banking. The group’s innovation portfolio, led by Yape, generated 9% of risk-adjusted revenues, supporting a record level of core income, while a stable efficiency ratio of 45.8% and strong capital at BCP and Mibanco underpinned a record ordinary dividend and a refreshed board that adds technology and governance expertise for shareholders.
The most recent analyst rating on (BAP) stock is a Buy with a $408.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Credicorp stock, see the BAP Stock Forecast page.
