Corus Entertainment Addresses Programming Shifts

Corus Entertainment (TSE:CJR.B) has released an update.

Corus Entertainment Inc. announced that their programming and trademark agreements with Warner Bros. Discovery will not be renewed after December 31, 2024, impacting some specialty channels. Despite this, Corus EVP Troy Reeb emphasized the company’s commitment to delivering top Canadian programming and finding alternative content sources. CEO Doug Murphy called for regulatory reforms to address market imbalances affecting independent broadcasters and stated Corus’s intention to seek all possible remedies and pursue new opportunities.
